XR is a powerful tool for experiencing new worlds and augmenting existing environments and Convergen produces bespoke virtual reality and mixed reality projects for select applications.

In 2014, Convergen founded VR-specialist company Jumpgate as an R&D unit to evaluate the potential of virtual reality technology, which lead to pioneering projects with contemporary artworks featured at Sundance Film Festival and the Venice Biennale, through to high performance sport with the Australian Football League and medical projects with the University of Newcastle's Centre for Advanced Training Systems. Now, Convergen applies XR projects across a range of domains, with Jumpgate specialising in contemporary art projects and Scenaria working across agile simulation training.
